The man stooped down and picked up a branch, then sat down and for hours carved, refined and sharpened it so that each of its parts provided a function while preserving its soul, its internal structure, the branch was transformed into a gentle weapon, a pillar to support him on his long walks. Its representation in polished steel is a synthesis, an allegory of the real stick. Thanks to the absence of matter that polished steel offers, we are focused on its history, its symbolism, its philosophy.
Flint X est un bâton, une arme, une canne, une lance, il symbolise toujours les premiers outils de l’homme. L’homme s’est baissé et a ramassé une branche, puis, s’est assis et pendant des heures l’a taillée, l’a affinée et aiguisée pour que chacune de ses parties lui offre une fonction tout en préservant son âme, sa structure interne, la branche se transforme en arme douce, en pilier pour le supporter pendant ses longues marches.
