La chaos est un design de 2015 réalisée cette fois de façon inverse. La structure est faite en acier inoxydable poli et le plateau est réalisé en acier patiné noir chocolat et vernis mat.

The chaos is a design from 2015, this time in an inverse way. The structure is made of polished stainless steel and the top is made of black chocolate patinated steel and matt varnish.

London console a été créée à l’occasion du salon PAD London 2024 en octobre 2024. C’est la conjonction entre l’acier patiné noir chocolat et l’acier inoxydable poli. Les deux parties de la console sont boulonnées ensemble. Les deux parties semblent tenir par magie l’une à l’autre pour former une surface fonctionnelle bi-matière. Différentes longueurs sont possibles.

London console was created for the PAD London 2024 show in October 2024. It is the conjunction of chocolate black patinated steel and polished stainless steel. The two parts of the console are bolted together. The two parts seem to magically hold together to form a bi-material functional surface. Different lengths are possible.

London table a été créée à l’occasion du salon PAD London 2024 en octobre 2024. C’est la conjonction entre l’acier patiné noir chocolat et l’acier inoxydable poli. La partie inoxydable fait le pied. Les deux parties en acier patiné sont boulonnées à la partie centrale. Le résultat est une grande table de salon épaisse, pas très lourde, qui joue mystérieusement de son équilibre et sa stabilité. Le contraste des matières lui donne une personnalité toute particulière.

London table was created for the PAD London 2024 show in October 2024. It is the conjunction of chocolate black patinated steel and polished stainless steel. The stainless steel part is the foot. The two patinated steel parts are bolted to the central part. The result is a large, thick, not very heavy coffee table that mysteriously plays on its balance and stability. The contrast of the materials gives it a very special personality.

The Arrow table was created in 2015, around the time of the Blade console. Based on the balanced offset of its entire surface, it surprises with its elegance and stability. A black patinated steel version is planned for 2026.

La table Arrow a été créée en 2015 à l’époque de la console Blade. Basée sur le déport en équilibre de toute la surface, elle surprend par son élégance et sa stabilité. Une version acier patiné noir est prévue pour 2026.

Pebble is a coffee table that offers a contrast of materials and shapes. The base is made of patinated black (chocolate) steel. It supports a free-form polished stainless steel tabletop. A gap between the two gives the impression that the surface is floating.

Pebble est une table de salon qui propose un contraste de matières et de formes. La base est réalisée en acier patiné noir (chocolat). Elle soutient une tablette en acier inoxydable poli de forme libre. Un écart est visible entre les deux ce qui donne l’impression que la surface est flottante.

Pebble copper

Le cuivre rouge déjà utilisé pour la console Blade copper est un matériau naturel, il vient du sol. Il est laminé sous forme de semi produit en tôles, tubes, barres etc.. J’utilise du cuivre de2 mm d’épaisseur que je forme et que l’on soude à l’aide d’un chalumeau et des baguettes qui sont un mélange de cuivre, de laiton et d’argent. Après, tout est meulé, puis poncé et poli comme l’acier inoxydable. Le cuivre s’oxyde mais lentement et en intérieur il ne s’oxyde pas vraiment, son entretien doit être assuré par des produits acides comme le Sidol de la même manière que l’argenterie. La base est un cube en acier brut patiné noir.

The red copper already used for the Blade copper console is a natural material, it comes from the soil. It is rolled in the form of a semi-finished product in sheets, tubes, bars, etc. I use 2 mm thick copper which I form and which is welded using a torch and rods which are a mixture of copper, brass and silver. Afterwards, everything is ground, then sanded and polished like stainless steel. Copper oxidizes but slowly and indoors it does not really oxidize, its maintenance must be ensured by acid products such as Sidol in the same way as silverware. The base is an assembly of welded nozzles in torch-burned stainless steel. The base is a cube in steel with a black patina

Oxyde table est une improvisation contrôlée, sur base d’une maquette en mousse de polyuréthane, l’objet se construit facette par facette pour créer une masse dynamique qui semble taillée dans un bloc. Édition limitée à 8 exemplaires mais toutes improvisées, toutes différentes, des petites tables d’appoint suivront ce concept. La patine noire donne à l’objet un caractère ancien, usé, vieilli et éloigne l’aspect brillant et neuf habituellement proposé dans mes pièces.

Oxyde table is a controlled improvisation, based on a polyurethane foam model, the object is constructed facet by facet to create a dynamic mass that seems carved from a block. Limited edition of 8, but all improvised, all different, small side tables will follow this concept. The black patina gives the object an old, worn, aged character, distancing it from the shiny, new look usually found in my pieces.

Le dessin de cette table provient du circle bench réalisé à la demande de la commune de Woluwe St Lambert et installé en janvier 2022 en espace public. C’était alors un banc qui mesure 3 m de diamètre. Passer du banc circulaire à la table circulaire fut un exercice tout à fait naturel et très agréable. Cette forme géométrique d’anneau, de croissant, cette demi lune dont une des extrémités se soulève et s’affine pour définir sa vitesse s’inscrit parfaitement dans ma démarche d’équilibre, déséquilibre et de recherche de mouvement par l’objet statique.

The design of this table comes from the circle bench made at the request of the municipality of Woluwe St Lambert and installed in January 2022 in a public space. It was then a bench that measures 3 m in diameter. Going from the circular bench to the circular table was a completely natural and very pleasant exercise. This geometric shape of a ring, a crescent, this half moon whose one end rises and becomes more refined to define its speed fits perfectly into my approach of balance, imbalance and the search for movement through the static object.
